One disputed review.
One less thing to worry about.

Behind every review,
there’s a business owner.
A service business came to us with a review that questioned both the quality of its work and its honesty. The owner disputed the account, could not identify a matching job, and had already reported the review to Google.
Our initial assessment separated complaints about service from broader allegations of dishonest conduct and manipulated reviews. The client then supplied more context about their records and the review’s edits.
We have omitted identifying details to protect the client’s privacy.
THE WORDS THAT MATTER
From concern
to “fantastic news.”
Before removal, the client wanted the allegations dealt with quickly and asked us to keep them informed. Read their concerns, then the reply confirming they had checked the result themselves.

I’m really hoping you’re able to get this resolved for us. Given the nature of the allegations being made and the fact that we genuinely cannot identify the reviewer or any job matching what they have described, I’m keen to have this dealt with as quickly as possible. Could you please give me an estimated timescale for the process, including roughly when you expect the initial removal request and any necessary appeal to be dealt with? I’d also really appreciate it if you could keep in touch with me throughout the process and update me at each stage, even if it is simply to let me know that you’re still awaiting a response from Google.

From the first request to the outcome, these are the milestones recorded in the correspondence.
The client checks
The client independently checks the profile and confirms that the review has disappeared and the review count has reduced.

MORE THAN A REPORT BUTTON
A stronger challenge
starts with the right grounds.
Google’s offensive-content policy covers unsubstantiated allegations of unethical behavior or criminal wrongdoing. That makes the broader allegations a potential focus for a challenge, supported by relevant records—not simply the fact that the review is negative.
How we would approach a case like this
- Separate negative feedback from specific potential policy issues.
- Check relevant evidence and any report already submitted.
- Prepare a focused challenge; use an available appeal if warranted.
- Check the review’s status and explain the outcome to the client.
This is our recommended approach, not a record of each submission or appeal in this case.
A nickname does not prove a review is fake, and criticism of workmanship or communication is not automatically a violation. Google did not provide us with a specific removal reason.

You have questions.
Let’s answer them.
Could you help with my review too?
Start with a free assessment. Send the review link and explain what concerns you. A person will check whether there are reasonable grounds to challenge it and explain your options within one business day.
I already reported it. Is there still a next step?
There may be. Tell us what you tried and share any platform response. We can assess whether new evidence or an available appeal gives you a useful next step. In the Google case shown here, the client had already submitted a report.
Will my review be removed this quickly?
The timeline on this page is the record of one case, not a promised turnaround. The platform, the evidence and any further review affect timing. We explain expectations before you decide to proceed.
What if there are no grounds for removal?
We will tell you. Legitimate criticism is not enough on its own. The assessment is free, and there is no obligation to proceed.
What will I need to do?
For the assessment, share the review link or business location and the relevant context. You do not need to share passwords. If we need documents or an action from you later, we explain what is needed and why.
